23 July-3 October. Following the recent wedding of Prince William to Kate Middleton, now the Duchess of Cambridge, public interest in Britain's royal family has rarely been as high.
The wedding dress worn by the duchess, designed by Sarah Burton for British fashion house Alexander McQueen, is one of the items on display at Buckingham Palace during its annual summer opening.
Along with it are the bride's veil, tiara, earrings, shoes and wedding cake. Also on show are 100 royal pieces by the St Petersburg goldsmith Peter Carl Fabergé, the master jeweller who worked in the late 19th/early 20th century.
